Young dancers decry regulations on raves

Techno music pounded outside the Alberta Legislature where about 150 young people gathered Saturday to dance in protest of growing regulations on raves.

For eight hours, they moved to the sounds of 10 DJs while children and parents played in a nearby water fountain.

Organizers said the peaceful protest was meant to send a message to politicians and parents that the all-night dance parties are about more than just drugs. CP
